  • Vegan with an attitude

Many people have the misconception that being a vegan is to live in an unsatisfactory and unadventurous culinary world. This couldn't be farther from the truth at Gatur's. The Meiser Watt is red lentils with onions and tomatoes cooked with mitminta and other authentic ethiopian spices. It is filling and spicey. All vegetable dishes are served on injera. This flat bread is a sour-dough which has strong pro-biotics benefits. It is made with teff which is a grain native to Ethiopia. All veg dishes come with a salad with the house dressing. It is very zesty and delicious. The place is clean and inviting. The best Ethiopian food in Buffalo located in the trendy historic Allentown. The Ethiopian spiced tea is fair trade and not to be missed. There is nothing bland about these vegan dishes and they can be ordered very spicey if you prefer. This restaurant was started by refugees and is a showcase for the rebirth of Buffalo and the american dream.
