- Good bread, disappointing cafe. ):
There isn't many vegetarian options in Bendigo, maybe if enough people keep asking, they might get the idea one day. After telling the staff we were vegetarian, we picked a Calzone (one of about three veg options), and we were offered the 'salad of the day', Cauliflower salad sounded good. Disappointingly it was full of bacon, and when we pointed this out the waitress agreed, yes it was full of bacon, no apology, no offer to make it right. The place looked a bit depressing after that, lots of flies, the indoor eating place right next to the toilet. A pity really, because the bread is great, and the calzone was quite nice. So, my advice, be careful of the salads in Bendy, and go to the Dhosa Hut instead to be on the safe side. Updated from previous review on Sunday May 17, 2015
