  • A Wonderful Little Find in the Art District of Ubu

This ended up being our favorite place to eat in Ubud to which we went several times. It is located in the Pengosekan art district, setback from the touristy section of Ubud. They have a small menu specializing in authentic Indonesian dishes, all well prepared. Food is a great bargain for the price-you cannot do better for your money than this place in Ubud. Favorites: nasi campur (traditional mixed plate with steamed rice, vegetables, few fried goodies, tempe) kare: coconut curry mushroom satey tempe special Would have been nice to know how this art community came to be vegan. It seems they are health vegetarians, committed to eating well. If you go with someone who speaks Balinese or Bahasa maybe you can get to the bottom of it.
