The Food Temple has some good ideas but is let down by some major flaws. The main (pardon the pun) is that there is a set menu with only one main course. So, if you don't like the sound of the main or are allergic to any of the ingredients then you go hungry. My girlfriend didn't like the sound of the main and the staff were very inflexible at offering something else, even a more substantial starter (they offer three tapas, which come in set portions). They have a like it or lump it attitude to the menu. This is a shame as the place is also very difficult to find and quite expensive for what it is. The place also fills up very quickly and there is little room between the tables. If you don't mind that kind of dining then you won't worry about it but I prefer something a bit more private, especially for restaurant prices. Service is also cripplingly slow, despite the set menu and small number of tables. If you are in Lisbon for a few days then give it a try but if not then there are much better options.
