- Lovely Homemade Food in Cosy Little Veggie Cafe
I stumbled across this hidden gem of a cafe last year, and have since returned every time I visit Ambleside. Its such a lovely little cafe, run by the owners. They make all the food themselves, serving things like homemade cakes (some vegan and gluten free), soup, jackets with yummy veggie toppings and they do specials. I would recommend a visit to the Rattle Gill when you next go to the Lakes, its tucked away so you might have to look out for the signs, or ask a local.
