• Excellent VEGAN, romantic and family friendly

We have been to this excellent restaurant every time we have been in the area, starting back in 2012 when we were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the cook Rita and her husband serving her fantastic dishes, Dario. Travelling around Europe and trying out different vegan restaurants, we find that this only can be compared to restaurants like Theresa Carles i Barcelona, except that the atmosphere is much calmer and that in Italy you are served a full surprise five course menu (cena). Rita and Dario are true animal lovers and vegan food artists. We brought a child along who loved watching Rita work though a window above on the terrasse. The first time we arrived here, we discovered that happycow's categorization of this restaurant was totally wrong: They serve a five course vegan soul-food cena based on local vegtables with lovely local organic wines. You have to book in advance, because it is a very small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating three evenings a week. The place is in fabulous medieval Montemagno with a short walk from the village parking. It you bring children or are in a romantic mood, make sure to be seated outdoors if weather permits.
