- Vegetarian options but I wouldn't say extensive!
Oba is ideally located right by the beach in a pretty square. We got to the restaurant and were quite surprised by the vegetarian options. Based ok previous reviews we thought there was going to be many choices but in the end there were just 3 things in the vegetarian section: 1. asparagus risotto - which originally included parmasen but we asked to replace it with mozzarella as we do not eat egg and a) we didn't know if the Parmesan was vegetarian and even if it was most of them contain egg 2. Stuffed courgette - grilled courgette stuffed with other grilled vegetables and with mozzarella on top served with salad 3. An Aubergine dish which we did not order What we ordered was fine but I normally would not order anything with cheese unless I know for sure it was vegetarian but as we had already sat down we just ordered. Some side notes, they charge individually for bread rolls AND butter, so if you ask for more bread be conservative with your butter usage! Also, we sat outside and there was a really enormous, aggressive pigeon there that was in no way afraid of humans. I know it sounds silly but it kept trying to eat my bread roll and then when I took the bread away, it rudely pooped right at me! Haha I told the waiter and somehow he made it go away.
