  • fine food in beautiful setting

What a surprise to find a vegan restaurant in this remote corner of Colombia, so long off-limits due to terrorist activity. Set in the back of a house, with greenery all around, the set menu consists of juice/soy milk, main plate with brown rice and several items, maybe a gluten-based faux meat, cooked veggies and salad. A tiny dessert and coffee or tea follows. They also sell REAL whole-grain bread (most "whole-grain" bread in Colombia is a fraud: white flour with a little wheat germ thrown in). Service is friendly. It's packed with locals at lunch hour, the highest endorsement.
