- When a vegan restaurant magically appears!
My husband and I had just gotten out of the train station at the Saga-Arashiyama JR Station and were looking for a bike rental place when a sign reading VEGAN in big letters caught my eye. It felt like a mirage! I couldn't believe my eyes. We looked at the menu and were set on returning for lunch after sightseeing for a bit. When we returned we were not disappointed. Service was great, the soy meat and gyoza were delicious and the price was right for the all organic ingredients and the fact that everything is prepared upon ordering. Definitely a must when traveling to Arashiyama. (And absolutely do rent bikes! It is the best way for getting around the area which is quite large.)
