I'd be lying if I said at least some small part of why I decided to get my BA from UCSB had nothing to do with this place... Backyard Bowls is absolutely incredible. Huge selection of açai smoothie bowls, and you can get whatever you want on top- yum yum YUM! They also have quinoa cereal, oatmeal, and other yummy breakfast-y bowls, and a great assortment of plant milk options! Pretty much anything on their menu can be made vegan, just make sure to not have them put bee pollen or honey on your bowl if you don't eat honey & the like. I cannot recommend this place enough, though! You absolutely must give it a try if you're in the area!
