- Nice place and people but boring food
A friend took me to this nice little place in Neukölln. The waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was homelike. But as my food came (I ordered a dish with soyballs) I was instantly disappointed. These soyballs tasted like little sponges soaked in water. Some chickpeas and cauliflower (for example) would've been the perfect replacement for this very boring meat-alternative. I just wish cooks would think about vegetables instead of associating a vegan dish so often with boring soystuff. I also find soymilk the least tasty milk alternative. That's why I couldn't drink the yogitea as well. Rice-, Oat- or Speltmilk are so much better and inexpensive as well. I prefer cooking and eating at home. That evening made that clear for me again. For the 10 € I spent on staying hungry I could've made a perfect curry.
