The Féria Verde is open Saturday mornings from 7 am to 12:30. They promote organic and sustainable farmers and businesses. There were lots of fruits vegetables and prepared foods available. There were many places to buy lunch or breakfast and tables to eat at. Though the market wasn't all vegetarian there were plenty of things available for vegans including vegan cheeses, vegan entrees, vegan breads and popsicles. We tried a vegan sandwich that had corn tortillas stuffed with beans salsa and avocado that were outstanding. Travel books often give San Jose a bad wrap but there are some really amazing things to do here and this market was a highlight.
