  • One of my favourite places to eat in Oslo

I like The Kasbah a lot. Like the other reviewers have said, the food isn't gourmet, it's simple and could be more inspired, e.g. with a wider selection of foods made from fruits and veggies. The best things they serve are all rather fatty, like hummus, baba ganoush and falafels, so I often end up feeling more stuffed than I'd like when I go there. Even so, this is one of my favourite places to go out for food and beer in Oslo. The atmosphere is really cozy, they have some good beers, and I do love their hummus plate with falafel, even though it would've been even better with some more exciting greens than carrots, cucumber and bland tomatoes. Their baba ganoush sandwich is very small, but I warmly recommend their hummus plate, their falafel plate or a meze you put together yourself (with baba ganoush!). All vegan dishes are clearly marked with VV. Gluten free is marked with G, and vegetarian with V.
