• Great concept, food was just okay

Let me start by saying that the service was great - very friendly - and the cafe style restaurant was clean and cheery. However, my daughter and I were underwhelmed by the food. Everything was fresh and vegan. However, out menu selections didn't taste as expected. I ordered the Banh Mi sandwich. It came on an untoasted, whole grain bun with very thinly sliced pieces of baked tofu. On it's own, it tasted okay but nothing like an authentic Vietnamese banh mi (think crispy toasted sourdough type roll and thicker pieces of crispy tofu). My daughter had a similar experience with the Buffalo Vge - okay but not what she expected. The soft serve vegan ice cream was tasty, though it was a bit in the soft and melty side. Now, we've only been to Vge once and so have only tried these few items on the menu ... Other menu options might be great. I do like that it is all vegan and will reiterate the big "thumbs up" to the friendliness of the staff.
