• Great disappointment

We have been to Itadaki Zen in Oban 2 years ago. It was the first time I had vegan Sushi and I really enjoyed it. So I was looking forward to going there again this year. But when we arrived in Oban in the beginning of June we found the restaurant closed. They had a note in the window stating that they will be closed for refurbishment from the day we arrived until 10th July – after being closed for the “winter” season from October 2013 until late May 2014. What a letdown! Currently, they are stating on their home page (http://itadakizenoban.jimdo.com/) that they will be open from 17th July 2014 and that you should visit their restaurant in London. Yeah, right, that’s what we will do. Why not drive more than 500 miles to eat out? Nevertheless, I hope they will be open when we come back to Oban next year.
