  • Central diamond in the rough

This is a lovely little place, as others have mentioned. It is down a side street, Xila Hutong, close to the grassy area of Donghuangchenggan. Its central location really sets it apart; a short walk from Tiananmen, and right off of the (in)famous Wangfujing Street. Wonderfully peaceful ambiance and a great place to duck out of the chaos around that part of town. Friendly people and great food. They don't speak English, so if you want to avoid eggs, make it clear to them. Lots of great affordable noodle dishes right next to mind-blowing 500 RMB mushroom delicacies. Be careful where you point. Had great Sichuan noodle soup, sausage hot pot, veggie meat pancakes. Lots of interesting options for the adventurous that I haven't seen on other menus. Highly recommended, support this neat little oasis!
