- A real find!
We were wandering in the area east of the Forbidden City, and saw a sign (in English!) "vegetarian restaurant 50 meters". We were so surprised and pleased, and just starting to think about a meal. Inside is a large, calm oasis, with high ceilings and dark furniture. The menu has photos and we ordered 4 dishes. They asked us how spicy we wanted the food. All the dishes were delicious. We especially enjoyed the fern root noodles - a delicate seasoning that we had not experienced before.
