- Gourmet Vegetarian
Everything is vegetarian. There is no tuna like someone claimed in a prior review. The atmosphere is very nice. Dimly lit with candles on the tables, attractive furniture, and an attentive staff. My order seemed gourmet. This has pros and cons. The cons, as anyone who has eaten gourmet food, is that portions are smaller than normal and it's pricey. But the flavors were *amazing*, and the visual presentation was very good. I have never had anything like this ever. Great for a unique treat. They also gave me a free small glass of champagne. The server was also very friendly. If you are in Italy looking for something cheap with large portions or something akin to the Olive Garden then don't go here and instead go to a restaurant with the word "trattoria" in the name. If you are in Italy look for gourmet quality vegetarian food at gourmet prices then this is the place for you. I give it five stars because it's excellent for what it tries to be. (I think some of the reviews here gave it unfair bad marks because they walked into a gourmet restaurant expecting something more akin to the Olive Garden! That's like giving a gourmet Mexican restaurant a bad review because you expected Taco Bell prices.) If I lived here (which I don't) I probably wouldn't eat there regularly due to the price, but I think it's well worth at least one or two visits for anyone visiting the city. Updated from previous review on Thursday September 24, 2015 So I went there again and my second dish wasn't quite as gourmet-ish tasting as the first. This time it just felt overpriced. So I'm giving it 4 stars. I definitely recommend you order a side dish with the main course due to the portions.
