I ate here two days in a row while in cuba. As a vegan, you will find in hard to come by food other than vegetable sandwiches and salads. Al Medina came by surprise and is worth looking for. Its nestled on a side street in Old Havana (Veija). For $7.50 you get a plate of 3 small falafals, tabouli (diced tomatoes in lemon juice), hummus (blended chick peas with garlic), pita bread, some marinated cabbage, and beans and fresh mango juice. Remember, cuba doesn't have access to expensive ingredients like tahini. It wasnt the best mediteranean i have had, but hit the spot.
