- Cheap and cheerful!
I loved this pub! First of all, I was happy to see the beer is brewed locally and tastes great. Secondly, I was blown away by the prices; it's really good value and you can get a filling meal and a drink for relatively little money. The hearty pub grub does it's job of filling you up and although it's not the gourmet gastro pub food you may expect, it's very honest British food (e.g. hot pot, stew, chips, sausage sandwiches etc.). You can even get a generous portion of home-made vegan ice-cream! The best part however is the atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and the place has a down-to-earth charm which makes you feel immediately at home. Go visit it if you can, especially if you want to combine it with a hike in the local area!
