- Friendly and uncrowned option
This cafe had a vey limited menu -- only four dishes, one of which had meat -- and was not well-suited for vegans, but it was a nice contrast to many of the other conventional options in Sintra. The town centre is full of places with picture-based menus, and that's rarely a good sign. Instead, this family operation was friendly and personal. The set meal at lunch was €6, which included a drink, main, salad, dessert and coffee. That's a good value anywhere you go, provided you can find something amongst the limited choices. There weren't any vegan choices for dessert, so don't get your hopes up if you don't eat dairy. Still, the staff were very keen to offer suggestions on itineraries and helped us set our course for the day, so that was worth the meal alone.
