It's so hard to eat well when traveling if you are a vegetarian trying to avoid wheat and gluten. Fortunately, I found Adama on Happy Cow last night when I was in Santa Barbara. Fresh squeezed orange juice followed by vegan mushroom soup then a salad was wonderful. The avocado, olives, sun-dried tomato, shredded carrots and pesto salad was served in three crispy cabbage "cups." I finished the meal with a chocolate cupcake. With tip my meal was $38. Way over my dinner per diem but worth it. Service was delightful and the rambling house in which the restaurant was located was adorable.
