  • Interesting place

I went there for an early lunch today. They a different starter/main option every day and a number of staples, plus cakes and cookies, all self-made. The place feels like a throwback to earlier (vegetarian) times in terms of foods - the dishes have that home-made flair that I might also have been able to get my (late) grandma to make for me, in slightly odd combinations: today, it was Serbian Bean Soup and an Asian-inspired rice with peanut sauce. But there is certainly a place for this kind of fare in Braunschweig, especially given that it's (almost) the only game in town, certainly for lunch. Also offers a lunch delivery service. The food itself was fine, if not exactly refined. Not your regular vegan yuppie hangout. Family-run. Almost all dishes vegan and clearly labelled.
