• Great Sister Act

Wonderful place on the beautiful Ile Saint-Louis just a few hundred yards from the sister restaurant of the same name near Notre Dame Cathedral. Had a perfect birthday night here in April 2010 with great food and superb organic French wine. The food is very hearty with mainly seitan and tofu dishes served with chunky sauteed vegetables. OK, it's not gourmet, but for €50 in an idyllic prime Parisian location for starters, mains, wine and water it was fantastic value. The staff were friendly and the lighting was perfect. There is also a lovely bar right next door where the night can continue into the early hours if so desired. During the day the front of the restaurant has a hatch open that serves ice-creams and coffees, a bit bizarre but fair enough. Would definitely go back again when in Paris and maybe alternate between the two restaurants on each visit.
