  • Tasty Chinese food that happens to be vegan!

I love having Veggie Lovers within walking distance from my house! It means I can order delivery when I have friends over and/or don't want to cook or pick up a to-go order when I'm walking home from Center City. I've never dined in so I can't speak to the waiter service or the food presentation but I will say this: the [soy] cheese wontons are super tasty, the super spicy veggie noodles are a hit with everyone who's tried them, and the General Tso's tofu is perfection. (These are the three dishes we keep falling back on in my house!) The portions are generous and the prices are appropriate. I knocked off one star because I've waited >1 hour for delivery on several occasions—and I live 0.5mi away from the restaurant! (Granted, they let me know it would take a while but only AFTER I tell them what I want.) On the few occasions I've stepped foot inside the restaurant, it was empty but looked clean and comfortable. (Definitely not a "hole-in-the-wall," as others have mentioned, though maybe that's a recent transformation. It looks like a quality family restaurant and I'm trying to make it a point to dine in occasionally.) Definitely worth a trip if you're craving Chinese food as it's solid Chinese fare that just happens to be vegan.
