  • Inexpensive Bolivian prashad

I had lunch in this place 4 days during my visit to La Paz in May 2014. Every day there is a different menu. The main dish was not always my favourite, but the portions are generous and the price very affordable. It is not Indian food as most ISKCON "Hare Krishna" restaurants around the world but Bolivian food. One receives soup (choice between 2), salad (salad bar with 5 or 6 options), bread, a main dish with 3 or 4 items (one gets to select as well between a few options), a dessert (choice between 2) and a refreshment (choice between 2). The staff is very kind and friendly. For those who are Vaishnava Hindus, this food is prashad and consequently it has been offered to Krishna and it doesn't have garlic, onion, mushrooms or eggs. Please note that the restaurant gets very crowded for lunch (it's very popular among the locals as a lunch spot) so it's better to arrive early if you wish to get a table (there is also the possibility of take away). The sitting area is very nice, decorated with pictures of Radha and Krishna and it's very clean.
