The Lodge is a truly wonderful getaway for the vegan who appreciates delicious food, warm hospitality, and glorious scenery. I put "delicious food" first because host Mark Hardy is a culinary artist whose varied concoctions remind one of the finest jazz in which improvisation is married to reasonable calculation. The accommodations are comfortable and quiet. The breeze is consistent and refreshing. The views are spectacular. In short, The Lodge is the perfect place to relax and forget the hurried, troubled world that seems far away. The best and most memorable way to see Grenada is to travel by the improbable, consistently entertaining bus system, which has an internal logic and color that defy description. Using the buses and then spending a day on a tour with Mandoo, which Mark can arrange, provide one with a real flavor of the small island nation. Without hesitation, I would recommend The Lodge to anyone who appreciates food, beauty, and the slowing down of time. Updated from previous review on Saturday December 13, 2014
