  • Classic Macro-Veggie Mineiro Experience

This is a great place, and would be a contender for best veggie restaurant in BH if it weren't for that fish dish (which isn't even served every day). Fantastic, creative vegan daily dishes every day with great soups, traditional takes on feijoada, and other natural delights. Main courses come with a big serving of brown rice. The place has been open for decades and is very popular with locals; you may have to share a table. Also be aware that you first need to enter a large metal door marked "Vila Wernick" outside (press the "restaurante" bell if it's not open). This small group of houses is actually a remnant from turn-of-the-century Belo and is a bit of a surprise to come upon. Go down the street, then turn left: it's at the end of the street, on the right. A must-visit for any vegetarian in Belo. Just keep in mind that opening hours are limited.
