• Maggie Mudd!!! More vegan than I was expecting!

My friend and I took a bus out to this neighborhood from Union Square - let me tell you, the bus ride (9L or 9) is a little sketchy as the bus goes through some sketchy areas so if you're uncomfortable just drive. As a Chicagoan, I wasn't uncomfortable and felt totally safe despite it being sketchy, so the bus option is fine in my opinion. This place is definitely cute and has a lot more vegan options than I had anticipated. I was actually shocked they carried dairy stuff since they had a lot of things advertising for veganisim (shirts, brochures, posters). They had two kinds of vegan ice cream, soy and coconut, with multiple options for flavors. I got the Tarmac (soy) and the Dubliner (coconut). While both were unbelievably delicious, I preferred the Tarmac. My friend got a coconut ice cream with cinnamon and also loved it. Overall this is a great little ice cream place, check it out if you can.
