I really like Garbanzo, but as good a job as they do of highlighting vegan items, which is almost everything on the line, I believe that they intentionally do not emphasize the fact that the pitas are made with whey conditioner and hence not vegan. This information is readily available on their website, and whereas vegan items in store are clearly marked, it's not obvious that the pitas are "vegetarian" rather than "vegan." I suspect that this omission is no accident, and emails to corporate on the subject have been met with no topical response. Even still I can hardly find too much fault what is arguably the most vegan friendly major chain-to-be.
