  • Yum!

My Husband and I rode through Milwaukee three weeks ago on our way to East Troy for the Buell Motorcycle Homecoming. We stopped at Cafe Tarragon for lunch after reading about it here. We are very glad we did. The food was amazing. Richard had the barbecue barbecue dinner, and I had the three salad combo. Richard started with a curried carrot soup-subtle, smooth and delicious. The barbecue was tangy with a bit of bite-just what he wanted. My three salads were delicious and complimented each other. I had a gingered tofu, sesame rice and a green salad with oriental dressing-all was delicious. The cafe is located in the back of a funky little green living store in the heart of an alternative area. The chef himself served us. The space was intimate and friendly, service was great, and food was amazing. While we were there, the health inspector dropped in, and found everything to his liking. I'd never seen an inspection before. As the kitchen is adjacent to the dining area, we were able to see his progress. I have to say, it was good to see the inspector nodding as he checked his thermometer...I'm so glad we found this place!!!
