- Ok food, horrible hospitality
I was really excited to go and check out somewhere veg in Ho Chi Minh. After searching HappyCow I decided to make the trek to Thanh Tinh. I walked in and wasn't greeted for a while so I went to take a look at what was inside the glass cart area. A sweet customer came up and asked if maybe I was going to try a soup, before I could respond the woman working there interrupted us with a plate full of rice and said "what you want? everything? ok" I tried to go with the flow at this point hoping it was just a culture barrier and began to ask what one of the dishes was. She didn't acknowledge me and kept picking out pieces of everything and putting them on my plate. Although it was nice to have a variety of Tofu/mock meats they were all luke warm at best. While I was eating 2 women and a man were all walking around and I was never asked if I wanted a drink nor did any of the three ever come back over to me while they continuously served everyone else inside. I was really disappointed in my experience this evening. I am well-traveled and don't expect anything above and beyond when it shouldn't be expected, but there is a way to be courteous to your customers even if there is a language barrier. (Which I'm not even sure is the case based on previous reviews) Won't be back to say the least.
