  • Great Food, If You're Prepared To Wait For It

Went in at 12:55, sat down right away to full house on a Thursday for lunch. Waited ten minutes for our water and 45 minutes for our first appetizers. Then after almost an hour one of our mango smoothies came out. After ONE WHOLE HOUR my lemonade came with the rest of the appetizers. I have never received such poor service in my life and I say that very honestly. I am an avid vegan and I loved the food, but I would not go through what I went through again at this restaurant. It's too bad too because the lady said that it was very unusual that we waited so long. There was only one cook in the back and she was the only one in front. The locale itself isn't too bad, but they need to update and possibly upgrade to a bigger venue. They also need to hire more staff IMHO. What I saw today was a common "we're really big but we're trying to stay small." Unfortunately the customer feels this. My fiancée ordered the Golden Fried Rice which wasn't bad, but the vegetables tasted like a cheap frozen blend you'd find at the dollar store. My meal was very good. I ordered the Peruvian's Favorite which had soy protein, brown rice, fries, and a tomato sauce. Everything was very good, but it was very oily and salty. I give my experience a 2/10 but since the lowest I could give was a 2/5 I gave 2/5. Will not be back, which is sad because this is literally the ONLY totally vegan restaurant in the area. I would much rather go to India Palace which also serves meat and just have their buffet and only eat the vegan dishes. It was also very expensive at The Loving Hut. The bill was $38, we got two dishes, two drinks, and 3 very small appetizers. Was not worth it in my opinion. I wanted to like this place, I really did.
