Somewhere to go for that luxury dinner! My partner and I ate here for one evening, whilst staying in the area. We arrived by public transport in the village and it's a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the house along small country lanes. Once at the house the owner was extremely friendly and we settled in to the lounge with a drink and looked over the menu. I think about 80% of it was vegan, and it was very hard to decide what to have as it all sounded so great. We ate early in the evening, and the dining room was getting full later, and this was not during peak tourist season so I would suggest you book in advance. The food was all fabulous, lots of flavours and well presented. The majority of the drinks are vegan too, and all are vegetarian. A three course meal costs about £25, not including any drinks you have. The view from the dining room window across the fells was fabulous in the evening sunset.
