• Bedbugs beware!

Three of us spent the night at the dorm here and two woke up covered in bed bug bites. In hind sight it was obvious that the staff knew that two of the mattresses had bedbugs. Firstly when asking for a room they would not tell us how many beds were available until we told them how many of us wanted to stay. Secondly the mattress for one of the beds was hung in the sun on the balcony when we arrived. Thirdy one of the owners suggested that the girl in the group go on one of the three remaining beds for seemingly no reason. It turned out that this was the bed without bugs. We're now in the horrible position of waiting to see if the bedbugs laid eggs in our backpacks while itching 24/7. Before this even occured the Italian owner was very rude to us showing no customer service skills whatsoever. After asking 4 times over 6 hours for linen for the beds we were eventually directed to an old suitcase full of dirty sheets to put on the bed. The two food items we had while there were also a huge dissapointment. The foccacia i purchased was rock solid having being left on the sun all day. It honestly hurt my mouth to try and eat. The next morning I noticed that the same tray of foccacia was still being sold for the same price. Later I ordered some kombucha. This was not left to ferment at all and just tasted of sugar. Having made it several times myself i can estimate it was given a few days to brew rather than a few weeks. All in all this was a horrible experience with long lasting negative effects. Im covered in over 60 itchy red bites and likely to have an infested bag. All completely preventable if the owners had just been honest.
