  • Great and cheap!

Super sweet family owned restaurant, the owners are Chinese-Cambodian. The first night I arrived I got in pretty late and I was looking for food, I didn't realize they close at about 2 PM. So when I walked up I saw the ladies making baozi ( Chinese stuffed steam bun) and I asked where else I could eat if they were closed, they were so sweet that they just gave me one. Probably they feel the struggle too! As I promised them, I went back the next morning for breakfast and got a tasty spicy red soup. I was so afraid that the "meat" was real because of the texture! They showed me that it was made from mushrooms, and actually brought out the bag of mushrooms to assuage me! Haha. I also got a black bean soy milk which they make with or without sugar for you. It can also be served hot or cold. Many other kinds of soy milk available too. As well as an iced coffee with soy milk! This is a must know for any vegan travelers in the area! For everything it was around 8000 which is a total steal. The next morning I went back again and I got another veggie soup for 4000. Very tasty and had tofu "meat" balls in it! Love them, I would eat here every day if I could! The other veggie place, Battambang vegetarian, seems to have been owned by the same family, and now they're just operating in the same shop? As far as I can tell at least. So don't bother going there, just go straight here. It's just up the street from the Asia hotel, which is where I was staying, so that was very convenient.
