  • Very small, but cute

I've been wanting to go to Grød for ages, because I've heard very good things about it, and the interior on this particular location on Jægersborggade is super cute. When I finally went to visit for a late lunch, I wasn't craving breakfast, but wanted something lunch-y. I asked which things they could veganize and they told me only the dhal, which is what I went for. When it was served, there was a big blob of yoghurt on top of my meal, which I'm glad I asked about. Had I been traveling, I would've assumed that they understood the concept, but living in Denmark, and having been given the wrong order on several occasions, I always know to double-check, and sure enough, it was regular yoghurt. They re-did my bowl, and while it was a very nice touch with fresh cilantro and chopped almonds, the dhal itself was bland. Would've also been nice if the vegan option wasn't actually omitting the yoghurt, but given a vegan option, as it is easy to find in Copenhagen these days. May be back for breakfast on later occasion. Be aware that space is very limited, and you might have to be lucky to get a seat. If you're just in the mood for sit down for coffee and a vegan cake, I'd suggest going to Nørrested, around the corner instead.
