- Delicious curry udon
Perfect for me and my husband as they serve meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes. I had curry udon for the first time, which is hard to find in Japan if you don't eat meat. They have 4 vegetarian options, which in Japan is a large selection (if you're not at a vegan/vegetarian restaurant). This is mentioned on a sign outside, and once you go in, ask for the veggie menu, which is in English so it's easy to understand. The curry udon was warm, satisfying and delicious, and my favourite meal of the trip! Husband enjoyed his regular udon as well. Like many restaurants in Japan, it's quite a small place, so there are signs encouraged you not to hang around once you've finished eating. It was easy to find, and walking distance from sights in Southern Higashiyama.
