- Great food menu
All-vegan menu. Hard to choose, but I had a tasty and satisfying savoury pie meal: asparagus, minted pea and caramelized onion pie with mustard mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and gravy, for £7.50. Also on the menu were delicious-sounding sandwiches, such as warm spicy tofu & mushroom; warm chicken, stuffing & mayo; and chilli & cheese melt. Also, all-day breakfast; sharing platter with samosas, pakoras, bruschetta, bowl of chilli, chips; and two burgers (seitan and stuffed Portobello). Mains include fish & chips with mushy peas, bean stew and lasagne. There’s a Sunday lunch, and the Christmastime special was Tofurky with mash, roast veg, stuffing and gravy for £6.95. Unfortunately, the draught beers are not vegan (and not craft or microbrews). There was only one bottled beer that was vegan, Samuel Smith’s pale ale. (Dec. 2016) I hope the vegan beer offerings will expand.
