- Vegan ease in dining
Sometimes at Ethiopian restaurants you have to ask about the food being vegan - butter is a likely ingredient for some vegetarian dishes. Here, it's easy. There is vegan food all over the veg section - it's currently all vegan! Cool. So, then, what to do? If you have a fav, go for it, if not, umm, get the sampler. If you are hungry, you will eat it all, if you are not, well, share. Also, remember, it comes with enjera- they have gluten free if you ask, but it costs more. The food here is good, very flavorful and well presented. Try an appetizer if you're starving, but be patient, the food will come quickly. Lentil soup or pastry/ salad? Entrees include green beans, cabbage, shiro/ chickpea puree, kik alicha/ yellow split pleas, a salad, collards and spicy lentils. Yum. It's good food and satisfyingly filling.
