- Lovely little place
I've just been for the first time today with a friend , partly for the cafe and partly to see the tapestry itself which is also great. I really enjoyed lunch there although I was pretty stuffed afterwards! I got a red lentil pate toastie which came with salad (although this was just cucumber, tomato and iceberg lettuce) and some crisps - the pate was so tasty, although it did seem to be the only vegan option for toasties (£4.25). For dessert was vegan sticky toffee pudding which was pretty reasonable at £3.30 including icecream/sorbet (i had lemon sorbet which actually went really well). Also fennel and liquorice tea from an interesting assortment (£1.40). Quite small but fitting to the place - nice decor, cheerful and with some copied panels from the tapestry and I remember a colourful wallchart about veggie nutrition. Would like to go back again!
