  • Great for a quick lunch stop!

This vegetarian place is perfect for a quick lunch stop. They only have a small menu (4 mains, 2 of them were vegan) and the food is pre-prepared. You can choose to have 1 to 4 small portions of the mains, and this comes together with some rice and salad. The food arrived in no time and was very tasty. I had a piece of spinach strudel (it wasn’t very hot anymore – for me that’s fine), the other dish was seitan in a creamy mustard sauce. The fresh fruit juices are also great! Oasis offers great value – a platter of a selection of 2 of the main dishes + a fresh juice only cost 9 €. Not surprisingly, this place is very popular and filled with locals and we even had to queue for about 5 minutes to get a table. The dishes aren’t marked, so you have to ask which ones are vegan. Staff is very friendly! Not all of them speak English, but “vegan” is among the words they know and they will point at the options suitable for you. Oasis is opposite the Gulbenkian museum and near “Sao Sebastiao”-Metro stop. If I lived or worked nearby I would go there on a regular basis!
