- Not impressed!
This is a stylish organic restaurant in a rather run-down part of the city. Due to the positive feedbacks here on “HappyCow” we made a small detour to visit this place. Sadly, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The dishes weren’t really bad, but a bit bland, lacking salt and spices. The fruit juice tasted like out of a packet instead of being freshly pressed. For what we got, prices were much too expensive. Expect to pay about 13 € for a main dish, the small fruit juice was 3,50€. When we arrived, the waiter immediately brought some bread and a dip, not stating what it was. In all other places we were asked whether we wanted bread/appetizers, and were told what was on offer –this wasn’t the case here, so we thought it was complimentary. As I didn’t intend to eat the dip, I didn’t ask whether it was vegan, but we both tried tiny pieces of the bread provided (it was sourdough bread, but we didn’t like it). Later we discovered an additional 2,50 € on the bill for that… At Pachamama they offer dishes suitable for different diets, and they are clearly labelled, e.g. vegan, gluten-free, “paleo”. They even have one raw-vegan dish, but also offer fish.
