Yet another review I need to update after 9 years. The beautiful autumn shadows played their way across the Plaça de la Font in the picturesque coastal town of Tarragona. We made our way to El Vergel for the first time since 2016. I still felt the same form of twisted anxiety when entering a highly anticipated vegan place. Everything was perfect and the food was sublime. We visited 3 times. Twice for their legendary 3-course lunch menu and once on an evening where we sampled their gourmet burgers. This is an ultra exceptional restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2016-11-21
