• Pleasantly surprised!

I'm taken aback by the mixed reviews here because I thought our dinner was excellent and much better than I expected. I guess it highly depends on what you order. We basically did a three-course dinner à la carte for two. Got an app and a main off the daily specials, and the mushroom pocket and the tofu bourguignon off the regular menu. For dessert, we had the triple chocolate cake and the mango crème brûlée. Their menu wasn't all that original or creative, but everything was well prepared, presented, and tasty. Service was very warm and friendly. Portions were adequate. Our bill came to CAD71 after tax, which I found more than reasonable (especially at the current exchange rate against the USD). Based on my research, if you're in the mood for something nicer, fancier than your regular veg*n casual joints dotted around the city, this place would be your best bet. While I definitely wouldn't go so far as to put it in the same league as the numerous upscale veg*n restaurants in the US, I still feel comfortable recommending it.
