- Sweet Dreams are made of these
Who am I to disagree? I've travelled the world and seven seas, everybody is looking for something......and this something is The Green Spot. If I could sneak in the word showaddywaddy I would but it's just not appropriate. After a quick margarita and maybe a mojito at Rosa Negro we continued to the end of Via Laietana and crossed the road to the amazing Green Spot. Once again, we have an immediate 5 happy cow impact listing in Barcelona. Barcelona always delivers the best. As soon as you walk in its obvious a lot of money has been spent on the fittings. This is a sophisticated but non pretentious dining venue. I love the spot lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. There is both table and armchair dining. I love the decor, the furniture and I love the relaxed atmosphere. Oh yes, I also love the food. We started with a curried red pepper dip served with pitta breads, carrot and celery sticks. Delicious. For main courses you are looking at a phenomenal Asian style tempeh and noodle wok stir fry and an outlandish yellow Thai style curry served with black rice. These were both quite a sensation. A bottle of rosé wine at a fruity €14 made this a most enjoyable experience. There were a lot of items on the menu that I craved to be vegan but weren't. Hey ho.
