  • Good for the price...

Well, the food is free of charge, so I can't really complain about the quality. It's pretty much what you'd expect a free meal to be like. Props to those who run this event every week, managing to find and cook food for no charge! It was well attended, the six large tables were full and there was standing room only by the time we got there just after six. Though the people managing things were friendly, it wasn't clear what was in many of the dishes, so we didn't know which ones were vegan (or maybe even vegetarian – I thought I saw a bowl of tuna mayonnaise there, though I could have been mistaken). Nothing was labelled, apart from one gluten-free option. Perhaps the answer is to go earlier and help with the cooking, that way you'll know what's in everything!
