• Didn't live up to my expectations/price

I was very excited to try modern love on a recent trip to Brooklyn. I love Isa's recipes and we have been to an event where they served her food while she gave a demo and it was all incredible. Our food at Modern Love was just ok though. The best things were the handmade blackberry vanilla soda, and the chocolate cheesecake with the brownie crust! Both were very yummy! For my entree I got the Mac and Shews, which should have been perfect for me! But it was SO bland. Almost no flavor. And for $22 mac and cheese it should have been great. I did like the greens with it, but the main part of these did was just blah. My husband got the truffle poutine and it was the same thing. Pretty bland. The restaurant is pretty New so maybe we just got a bad preparation? Honestly i probably won't give if another try because it was our most expensive meal while we were in town, and also the least delicious. Updated from previous review on 2016-10-28
