- very average and limited vegan options
My partner & I arrived just before 11am during the week and, once we had selected from the few vegan dishes available on the menu, attempted to place an order at 11:05 only to be told that the breakfast menu finished at 11am - apparently it was all to difficult to throw some avocado on toast after 11am. Disappointing the waitress didn't tell us the brekky menu was about to finish when she handed us the menus! So, we then selected the sandwich of the day, asking that the cheese and tzatziki be removed. Although the lady serving seemed not to understand that vegans don't eat tzatziki as well as cheese, she took the order. But minutes later advised that the tzatziki couldn't be removed as the sandwiches were all pre-made. We queried why they hadn't considered using vegan cheese as an alternative in any of their dishes and were told that, unlike many other vego restaurants, the owner here had never even considered it. Anyway, we left to eat at the nearby VegeRama with mostly vegan options, including the best Lasagna I have ever tasted! Updated from previous review on Sunday April 13, 2014
