- Good smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and more
The Raw Place provides healthy, raw, vegan and api-vegetarian food and juices in a desert, which amounts to a public service, so one can forgive the somewhat lofty prices. My one complaint, however, is that everything (both food and drinks) is served in plastic. Since there are tables for dining in, why not serve dine-in customers with glasses and reusable plates rather than the same plastic used for takeout? It would be vastly more eco-friendly that way. Or at least switch to a plant-based material for the packaging. That said, the food is good, the service was very warm and friendly, and there is outdoor seating with views of the bay to complement the (over-cooled) indoor dining room, which made for a pleasant experience. Note that most of the mains seem to be vegan, but not everything is vegan (some honey is used). All the packaged food items have the ingredients printed in English, so it's easy to suss.
